The objective of VSL Investment & Advisory (VSL I&A) is to carry out investment operations in the maritime industry and logistics sector, for the benefit of Club members.
We do this by drawing on our sector knowledge, our capabilities and the Team's reputation as a driver of value creation, for both Club members and the projects we are interested in.

In a constantly evolving market, the Team establishes Venice Shipping & Logistics with the aim of developing relationships and business opportunities in the maritime and logistics sector.
From the outset, the focus is on the key players in the supply chain: ports, terminals, freight forwarders, carriers, shipowners and specialist shipping services.
The experience gained and the network built over time give rise to the idea of creating a platform capable of pooling private capital with the aim of identifying and investing in companies with high growth potential in the logistics and maritime sector.
VSL Club S.p.A. is thus established, a community of entrepreneurs, managers and investors united by the desire to invest in the real economy and to support sector players in their strategic challenges.
After successfully completing 18 advisory transactions and 6 direct investment operations, the Team decides to adopt a more structured organisation, aiming to become an increasingly established benchmark in integrated logistics, with a focus on high-value-added investment and advisory operations.
Value creation for Club members comes more from the organic growth of portfolio companies — through improved profitability of net invested capital and net equity — than from simply trading the stakes held.
